Origami stars and balloons

This weekend I was so fed up with all the chores I had to do inside and around the house, so ... I took a break.  I wanted to try this origami for a long time now and this week I had bought some nice origami paper to try it.  It was a great success!!  The kids and I loved it.  Once you know how to fold the paper, it gets really addictive.
The stars are a little bit harder for them to make.  But they loved to make the balloons.  At this very moment they are using up the last pieces of paper, making these lovely balloons. They just shouted out they have made 74 little balloons.
With the stars I am going to make a guirlande.  And for the balloons I still have to buy a string of LED fairy lights and then I just need to attach each balloon around a light.

I found the tutorial for the balloons at folding trees and she also has a nice tutorial to make the wishing stars.
Tomorrow I will definitely get some more paper.  I hope you will enjoy this as much as we did!!
